MSN, Nurse Educator, African American

I am a 32-year-old African-American woman from California who very much wants to become the finest nursing administrator possible. I am a serious, dedicated, and compassionate woman who lives to help others. The greatest contribution that I might be able to make to society would be to help in the community educating pregnant women and their families about delivery process.  Becoming a manger of staff and being able to meet department goals while advocating for staff.  My dream is to become the director of Nursing for a major hospital or corporation.

I was raised in Berkeley, and completed an Associate's Degree in Nursing at XXXX College - Oakland, CA.  I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Science Degree in the ADN- to BSN Program at XXXX State University  and will be graduating in the Spring of 2012. I hope very much to enroll in your highly esteemed Master's Administration Program at California State University Dominguez Hills because of its convenient location and the spectacular reputation of the program. I am especially interested in doing research in the areas of teenage pregnancy prevention in populations with high incidence.  As a black woman who is especially concerned about the need to serve the black community and to help minority groups to respond to their most pressing challenges, I want to work as a nurse educator helping to educate vulnerable girls from African-American and other minority groups about the need to avoid teenage pregnancies. I also want to help those who are already pregnant to become more fully aware of the range of options available to them, to help them to make these important decisions based on an informed perspective, and to help those teenagers that decide to carry the baby to term to do so in a healthy way, and to prepare themselves for motherhood. As a nurse educator, I look forward to teaching pregnant women and their families about what to expect in the delivery process and how to best prepare for this difficult challenge. and what to expect.

My long term goal is to serve as one of the director of a nursing training program with an emphasis on the service of women and teenage girls from underprivileged backgrounds. I feel strongly that my high level of motivation and determination to succeed have prepared me well so that I will be able to excel in your program. As a Registered Nurse with experience on the surgical floor, I am able to work under pressure in stressful situations and, most of all, my professional experience has helped to prepare me for the specialization that I have chosen in the area of maternity, since I have spent nearly three years as an RN in Labor and Delivery. I am a mature woman, myself a single parent of a 12 year son named Hadari who is the light of my life, and now old enough to amuse himself while I am studying for my Master’s courses.  I want to provide a comfortable life for my son and guide him towards higher education. I am the first person in my family to attend, let alone graduate from college; and I am now eager to use my knowledge to help others to succeed in life as well, especially, in time, helping to educate future generations of nurses, especially those from diverse ethnic populations. I want to teach  future nurses in a way that is easy to understand and that allows them to feel comfortable. I want to thank you for considering my application to your program.

I have spent many years investigating what makes a Statement or Letter of Intent for admission to Nursing School as effective as possible, what programs and institutions in the area of nursing are looking for in applicants: specific qualities, interests, and characteristics--all of which I will emphasize in your essay. Character is especially critical and I am an expert at making you look exceptional. It is all in the wording and I like to think I have a natural gift for statement expression. My own special strength is in the emotional eloquence of nursing. I admit that on a few occasions, tears well up in my eyes while writing a statement for nursing school; it is a most enriching experience and I count myself most privileged.

Working together as a team we strive to create the best personal statement possible, to give you an advantage over other applicants to Nursing School. I am an experienced professional who has read and edited thousands of  Personal Statements and Statements of Purpose. Most editing services only focus on the technical aspects of the statements: grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Instead, I consider the more important aspects; personal tone, flow, and content. Most importantly, I help you express your creative ideas with respect to your long term goals and your contribution to humanity and society. The final product of my editing may be the beginning of your professional success, a solid investment in your future.
