Nursing Residency, Navy, Veterans

The Navy has been a part of my life since I was born; indeed, I was born in a Naval Hospital.  Growing up on naval bases, I was proud of my dad and his service to our nation, and the strong sense of community emphasized by the military lifestyle.  He willingly gave his entire career to the Navy, and in turn, we received the finest medical care from nurses and doctors in uniform.  Indeed, my first impressions of nurses were those that tended to me as a child.  I count their unswerving compassionate nature and skilled care with kindling within me the desire to serve our nation and our veterans.

Throughout my BSN, I imagined one day serving within a Veterans Hospital, a job, a career, and an honor, providing healthcare to our Veterans.  Turning to the field of Nursing was a natural choice for me, and a fulfillment of a lifelong dream.  I am deeply thankful that I have had the opportunity and the ability to return to school, a path decorated with scholarships.  Completing my BSN with Honors and near-perfect GPA, I was admitted into Sigma Theta National Honor Society for Nurses this past May, a source of immense pleasure and pride for me, my family, and others that supported me throughout.

XXXX’s Nurse Residency program is not just a logical progression for my career, but represents the ideal, bringing me an education whose curriculum has a breadth and autonomy, as well as variety of departmental exposure no other nurse residency program can offer.  Completing the Nurse Residency Program will lay an excellent foundation from which, upon building my exposure in the field, to completing a Nurse Practitioner program, and eventually working for the Veterans Administration.

Complementing the residency program, I bring with me to the residency program, not only proof of my ability to successfully complete a graduate-level program, but also a decade of professional experience, working in positions that increased in responsibility and the numbers of people I supervised.  It was during this portion of my career when I solidified my professional interpersonal, time management, project management, and IT skills.  I recognize that nurses not only hold a community’s trust in their hands, but are also role models for other aspiring medical professionals.  To this end, I am currently an active volunteer for the Red Cross, bringing my desire to impart compassionate care to the poor, sick and needy at all costs.

I used to think that business and finance mattered, and it does, but not the way that people, and our Veterans matter.  Now all I want, and forever, is to follow my heart, providing exceptional healthcare to our American Veterans and those in need.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I have spent many years investigating what makes a Statement or Letter of Intent for admission to Nursing School as effective as possible, what programs and institutions in the area of nursing are looking for in applicants: specific qualities, interests, and characteristics--all of which I will emphasize in your essay. Character is especially critical and I am an expert at making you look exceptional. It is all in the wording and I like to think I have a natural gift for statement expression. My own special strength is in the emotional eloquence of nursing. I admit that on a few occasions, tears well up in my eyes while writing a statement for nursing school; it is a most enriching experience and I count myself most privileged.

Working together as a team we strive to create the best personal statement possible, to give you an advantage over other applicants to Nursing School. I am an experienced professional who has read and edited thousands of  Personal Statements and Statements of Purpose. Most editing services only focus on the technical aspects of the statements: grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Instead, I consider the more important aspects; personal tone, flow, and content. Most importantly, I help you express your creative ideas with respect to your long term goals and your contribution to humanity and society. The final product of my editing may be the beginning of your professional success, a solid investment in your future.
